Dooley in line for Offaly recall as relegation tie looms

RELEGATION-threatened Offaly hurlers have received a massive boost with ace forward Shane Dooley set to return to action in Sunday’s league clash with Wexford at Tullamore.

Dooley, the Offaly captain, missed out on the loss to Tipperary on March 13 after receiving a nasty ear injury which forced him to retire in the clash with Dublin a week earlier.

The Tullamore clubman, a son of team-manager Joe, had to have 10 stitches inserted in his ear following a pull by Dublin defender Peter Kelly early in the second-half of the O’Connor Park tie.
