Focused Fitzgerald puts appeal against ban on back burner
Fitzgerald faces a 12-week spell in the stands after being reported by referee James Owens for making comments after the league clash with Tipperary in Semple Stadium. Fitzgerald is to appeal the ban on Friday night.
Yesterday, after his side beat Cork, he said: “Whatever will be, will be. My thing doesn’t matter — the games are everything, the team is everything. I don’t matter. We’ll have the team right.”
