Cooney to address key issues as interpros fight for survival
A decision on the beleaguered competition was deferred at last month’s Central Council meeting and it will be discussed again when those delegates convene at the next meeting before Congress in Mullingar in April.
Despite the call from high-profile GAA figures to retain the interprovincial series, Cooney insists the key problems of paltry attendances, the lack of a defined date and the availability of top inter-county players must be addressed if they are going to survive.
