MacAuley set to return after throat op

DUBLIN midfielder Michael Darragh MacAuley underwent a minor operation on his throat yesterday morning but will return to team training tonight.

The Ballyboden StEnda’s man had made a hospital appointment after a piece of chicken became lodged in his throat on Saturday. The incident caused him breathing difficulties and forced him out of the Allianz Division 1 game against Cork.

However, the problem was rectified with a minor operation yesterday.
