Keane facing eight-week suspension

KERRY attacker Barry John Keane is facing an eight-week suspension following his altercation with Noel O’Leary in the Kerry-Cork Allianz Football League Division One clash last Sunday after a recommendation from the Competitions Control Committee (CCCC).

O’Leary’s fate remains uncertain and the Cork captain was still in the dark about the matter yesterday evening.

Neither player, who were brandished with straight red cards by referee Michael Duffy for the second-half skirmish, will appeal the bans.
