Gneeveguilla’s big opportunity

DR CROKES are not the only flag-bearers for East Kerry in this weekend’s club football action.

Before the Killarney side face Nemo Rangers in the eagerly-awaited Munster club SFC final in the Gaelic Grounds tomorrow, neighbours Gneeveguilla compete in the All-Ireland club IFC semi-final.

“It’s a huge occasion,” admits manager Denis O’Regan. “Winning Munster was a massive thing and we’d plenty of celebrations after it. But playing in an All-Ireland semi-final with the chance to reach a final is something that comes around once in a lifetime. The lads want to seize that chance for the club.”
