Ballymartle happy with preparations

BALLYMARTLE manager Anthony McCarthy believes his squad has the strength in depth to cope with the absence of key attacker Brian Corry for tomorrow’s All-Ireland Club IHC semi-final against Galway champions Padraig Pearses in Templetuohy.

Corry misses out through injury and McCarthy admits the centre-forward is a huge loss.

“Brian was in really good form. He brings a lot to the setup with his ability in tackling, his height and strength, but it’s up to other guys to step up. A lot of young players have come through on to the team. It’s not about 15 players at all - we’d a panel of 30 training over Christmas and we won’t be weakened by the loss of one player.”
