LIMERICK’S sideline investment for 2011 doesn’t end with new managers Maurice Horan and Donal O’Grady. County Board chiefs have installed state of the art seating for teams playing at the Gaelic Grounds.

Limerick secretary Mike O’Riordan explained: “The seats are part of the revamp of the Gaelic Grounds, which was done in conjunction with the International Rules.

“We have seats for the officials and then we have two sections of 18 for each of the backroom teams and subs. They are the same as those at Celtic’s Parkhead and in other stadiums in the UK. As far as I am aware, they are the only ones outside of Croke Park. The Limerick crest is on all of them and they are every bit as comfortable as they look.”
