O’Connor: New faces doing well

KERRY boss Jack O’Connor has signalled his intentions to inject more pace into the Kingdom’s half back line, after switching former captain, Darran O’Sullivan to wing back for Sunday’s narrow McGrath Cup win over IT Tralee.

O’Connor: New faces doing well

Asked afterwards whether it was a switch in emphasis or born out of necessity, O’Connor admitted: “It was (a) mixture of both — it’s no harm to move fellows around sometimes, it can give them a new lease of life. I suppose the jury is still out on it but I thought he did fine there.

“At the moment a lot of the established players have yet to return and we have a share of injuries so we will work away with the group we have at the moment as they are showing a good attitude and commitment.”
