O’Brien goal seals Kerry win
Kerry trailed the reigning champions at the break by two points but thanks to a combination of superb defending and classy finishing they managed to outscore their opponents by 1-4 to 0-2 in the second period.
Magnificent individual displays from Thomas Hickey, Cian MacGearailt and Captain Ferghal MacConmara set the seeds for this impressive victory.
Limerick were never going to let their title go softly and were always within a score of the Kingdom but they failed to re-produce the same intensity as the first half and came up short at the finish.
