Nemo: no more 2010 cancellations

NEMO RANGERS manager Eddie Kirwan has warned that the club will look to the Munster Council to postpone Sunday’s provincial final against Dr Crokes until February if the game is called off for a second time.

Ahead of today’s pitch inspection at Limerick’s Gaelic Grounds, Kirwan has pointed out that were the game rescheduled for January they could be without their county players who are scheduled to be on a team holiday to South Africa.

“Our county players (Paul Kerrigan, Derek Kavanagh and Brian O’Regan) are going away with Cork for three weeks so if it’s off again we’ll likely be looking for a February date.”

Dublin SFC champions Kilmacud Crokes breathed a sigh of relief earlier this week when their Leinster final date with Rhode was postponed until January, allowing their county footballers the opportunity to fly away with Pat Gilroy’s men on a holiday to Dubai this weekend. The fixture move also gives them more opportunity to clear their growing injury list.
