Cusack not ready for politics game

DONAL Óg Cusack said yesterday that while he had discussed entering politics, he wishes to continue playing inter-county hurling.

“Maybe this is selfish but number one I’m a hurler. I love that game and it’s one of the things that drives me to get out of bed in the morning.

“I work for a multinational and have done so for most of my adult life. It’s something I’m fortunate to do. But hurling is my number one thing. I want to stay playing for Cork, to go back and fight for my place, and if you went into politics you’d have to totally immerse yourself in it.”
