McGrath Fermanagh blow

NEW Fermanagh manager John O’Neill may have to plan without Marty McGrath for the start of the National League.

McGrath underwent an operation to correct tendonitis in his knee for the second time in a year recently and the captain is looking at a March return at the earliest. O’Neill is now resigned to being without the former All Star midfielder for the first three games of the Ernesiders’ attempt to get out of Division Four.

McGrath has recovered from testicular cancer and a fractured skull sustained in a work accident in the past, so hopes are high that he will make a successful comeback.
