FORMER All-Ireland winning Galway captain Ray Silke has expressed concern about the way football in the county is run.

Silke unhappy with handling of Ó Flatharta appointment

Writing on the Irish Examiner sports blog, Silke admitted he is unsure if new boss Tomás Ó Flatharta can boost the fortunes of the Tribesmen.

He explained: “There appears to be a complete disconnect with those that are the power brokers in the county and those that do the work on the ground, running clubs, and the supporters of the county teams.
