Injured Miskella hopes to play in quarter-final
Miskella incurred the injury near the end of the game in an accidental clash with a Ballincollig teammate and received treatment in the Cork University Hospital on Sunday night.
He was discharged that night and will see a specialist tomorrow before a decision is made on his availability for next weekend’s last eight tie.
Meanwhile reigning All-Ireland club hurling champions Ballyhale Shamrocks were last night drawn to face O’Loughlin Gaels in the semi-finals of this year’s Kilkenny SHC as they chase five-in-a-row county senior titles.
The other last four clash will see Carrickshock face off against Erins Own (Castlecomer), with both ties being played as a double-header in Nowlan Park on Sunday, October 10.
The beaten finalists in the All-Ireland Club SHC decider last March, Portumna will face Loughrea in the semi-finals of this year’s Galway SHC, in a match that will be a repeat of last year’s county final.
Clarinbridge will face last year’s intermediate champions Tynagh Abbey–Duniry in the other semi-final with both games taking place on the weekend of October 10 and 11.
