Cummins second in appearances list

TIPPERARY’S Brendan Cummins will tomorrow move into second place, ahead of current Waterford manager Davy Fitzgerald, in the all-time senior hurling championships appearance table.

The game will be Cummins 61st championship appearance, 15 years after he made his debut in 1995.

If Tipperary manage to win tomorrow and Cummins plays in the All-Ireland decider on September 5, he will be only two appearances away from matching all-time record holder Christy Ring who played 64 championship games.
