Cork left it too late, says Walsh

CORK manager Denis Walsh felt his side had “left ourselves with too much to do” in their loss to Waterford on Saturday night.

Cork left it too late, says Walsh

“We came to win and probably played well enough at times to win,” said Walsh, “But in terms of consistency — over the two games but particularly tonight — we left ourselves maybe with too much to do in the first half with only four points.”

Walsh praised his players for their second-half performance, having been left with a “big mountain to climb”.
