‘We’re sick of seeing Kilkenny winning’

“A CHASTENING experience,” that’s how Galway manager John McIntyre describes Sunday’s defeat against Kilkenny in the Leinster final in Croke Park.

Seven points, but in truth it could have been much worse, Kilkenny with 17 wides in a game where several of their big men up front were misfiring.

And yet, for all that, McIntyre isn’t at all despondent. He is more than aware his side weren’t beaten by just any old team.
