New dawn for Clon

CLONAKILTY GAA write a new chapter in their illustrious history this weekend with the official opening of a state-of-the-art new facility at Ahamilla.

Costing over €10 million and after a series of hiccups that threatened to derail the project, James Murphy of the Development Committee is relieved the official opening has arrived after “quite a journey for all involved”.

He said: “The committee that has been in place for the last couple of years certainly don’t want to come near anything like this for the next 50 years I can guarantee you!”
