Galway ‘won’t hold back’

GALWAY boss John McIntyre vowed he and his side “won’t be holding back” in Sunday’s NHL Division One final clash with Cork.

Galway ‘won’t hold back’

“At times I’m baffled by some managers and players playing it safe with their ambitions for the league,” says McIntyre. “It’s almost a case of ‘if things don’t work out for us we didn’t chase it that hard.’

“We said our target at the beginning of the year was to win the Walsh Cup, which we did, and to have a protracted run in the league, which we did. We appreciated it was going to be hard without the Portumna players for the first five rounds. Now that we are in the league final we certainly won’t be holding back.”
