Munster glory for clinical Charleville
TWO clinical first-half goals and an outstanding defensive display throughout enabled Charleville CBS to claim honours in yesterday’s FAI Munster Schools Junior Soccer Cup Final in Moatville grounds in Charleville.
The Cork school had to withstand ferocious pressure from their opponents St Brendan’s College, particularly in the second half, and such was the number of goal chances they conjured up, it was remarkable that the Kerry college failed to grab an equaliser and force the game into extra-time.
