Galvin banned for eight weeks

KERRY attacker Paul Galvin is set to miss Kerry’s next four NFL games after being handed an eight-week ban as a result of his sending-off in last Saturday’s fiery Division One tie against Cork at Páirc Ui Rinn.

The Kerry County Board and Galvin received CCCC notification yesterday of the suspension, but are set to launch an appeal against Galvin’s red card, likely to be heard next week.

Cork defender Eoin Cadogan, who was dismissed along with Galvin for an off-the-ball incident in the first-half of Saturday’s match, also learned yesterday he will receive a four-week suspension. The Douglas man is also set to appeal the decision.
