Sweeney still in Dublin plans

DUBLIN hurling boss Anthony Daly has not ruled David Sweeney out of his plans for the season despite the versatile player still not having returned to training.

Sweeney, half-forward in the quarter-final defeat to Limerick last year, has yet to commit to the inter-county scene for 2010 and is the only player from last year’s panel who has not figured in Dublin’s early season preparations.

Daly remains hopeful that the player will feature this year. “He’s going on three weeks holidays to New Zealand and we’ll see what he wants to do when he’s back. If he wants to commit when he comes back, we’ll have a look at him.”
