Croker urged to host two non-GAA events

Modeligo GAA Club submitted the motion to their county convention before Christmas and after being passed at county level, it is now set to be put forward for consideration to be debated at the GAA Annual Congress in Newcastle, Co Down in April.

The motion reads in full: “That Central Council shall sanction the use of Croke park for two extra events over a calendar year from January 2011 other than those which have previously been sanctioned. Financial gain from extra events shall be used mainly (80%) for the purpose of removing ongoing financial burden from clubs, ie insurance, registration, playing equipment.”
