O Sé in final sweat

ANOTHER week, another All-Ireland suspension scare?

O Sé in final sweat

Last week it was Cork’s John Miskella in the dock, now Kerry’s Darragh O Sé could face a similar sweat after apparently raising his hand to Meath’s Brian Farrell in the fractious final moments of the first half at Croke Park yesterday.

Farrell theatrically went to ground after the incident, but referee Gearóid O Conamha took no action against O Sé at the time – leaving it up to the GAA’s Central Competitions Control committee to decided if any further action is merited. Last week, Cork’s John Miskella came under the spotlight for a punch thrown at Brian McGuigan in the win over Tyrone, but ref John Bannon, who booked Miskella, declined to take up the option of upgrading the card from yellow to red. However, because O Conamha did not caution O Sé, this is now solely a CCCC issue.
