Cregan laments Limerick ‘humiliation’

FORMER Limerick boss Eamonn Cregan has described the county’s All-Ireland SHC semi-final capitulation to Tipperary as ‘diabolical’ and called Sunday a ‘humiliating day for Limerick hurling.’

Limerick suffered a 24-points mauling (6-19 to 2-7) and the legendary Cregan last night questioned the tactics employed by Justin McCarthy and his management team and also caused for a root and branch review of the code in the region.

He said: “Like an awful lot of Limerick people, I’m trying to deal with the hurt, the embarrassment.
