O’Connor right to axe stars, declares Spillane

KERRY legend Pat Spillane has backed Jack O’Connor’s decision to drop All Stars Colm Cooper and Tomás O Sé from the starting line-up for tomorrow’s fourth round qualifier against Antrim in Tullamore.

The players are to start on the bench against the beaten Ulster finalists after a breach of discipline following Kerry’s one-point win over Sligo last weekend.

“You need to be disciplined on and off the pitch and O’Connor is correct to punish the two lads for their actions,” said Spillane.
