WATERFORD selector Peter Queally said “harsh words” were spoken following his side’s loss to Tipperary in the Munster SHC final, but added that they’ve drawn sustenance from Déise wins at U21 and minor levels.

Queally was speaking ahead of tomorrow’s mouthwatering tie with Galway at Semple Stadium when he outlined how Waterford recovered from their four-point loss to Tipp in the provincial decider.

“The mood is good, we had a recovery session on the Monday afternoon after game, and we only had one session before the U21 lads played Tipperary. We’d a good session that day and eight of the panel were on the U21 team, and it was a great boost to see how they played that night.
