Farrell brace secures Cats triumph

FULL-FORWARD JJ Farrell netted in both halves at Parnell Park to secure Kilkenny’s 23rd Leinster U21 hurling title.

The Thomastown man netted after just three minutes during a whirlwind start that yielded an unanswered 1-3 for Kilkenny and stood to them throughout.

Farrell’s second after 44 minutes was just as timely as it killed off Dublin in the midst of a spirited revival.
