Flynn: Fitzgerald is playing mind games

PAUL FLYNN says Waterford boss Davy Fitzgerald may be attempting to deflecting criticism of his players by placing himself in the media spotlight.

Flynn: Fitzgerald is playing mind games

Fitzgerald has come under close scrutiny since Sunday’s Munster semi-final draw against Limerick after he claimed a Munster Council official ‘held his son back’ as the team entered the ground and also declared his side were not notified to return to the field for the second-half of the match.

Flynn, who brought the curtain down on his Waterford senior career last winter, believes the controversy has removed the spotlight from Waterford’s poor display last Sunday.
