Opportunity knocks for Kerry’s supersub skipper

NEARLY three years have elapsed since Kerry’s Darran O’Sullivan started a championship match.

Now this year’s captain is determined to rid himself of his ‘supersub’ tag and leave those summers of bench-warming in the past.

O’Sullivan broke onto the senior panel in 2005 and started three of the six games the following summer but he has not been named in the starting 15 since the nine-point defeat of Longford in the All-Ireland qualifiers in 2006.
