Three Rebel selectors are named

PAT BUCKLEY, a former Cork playing colleague from Milford, is one of three selectors named yesterday by Denis Walsh — the others being Pa Finn from St Finbarr’s and Gerry Ryan from the Ballinascarthy club.

Three Rebel selectors are named

Walsh is awaiting news from a potential fourth selector, explaining that because of work commitments he is unsure if he will be in a position to serve.

Buckley won an All-Ireland medal in 1990 as a substitute, losing his place at midfield to Teddy McCarthy for the final against Galway after playing in all the games en route. Two years later he lined out at midfield against Kilkenny in the final, in a team captained by Ger Fitzgerald — who was a member of Gerald McCarthy’s management team.
