Ó Sé injury not as bad as first feared

GOOD news for Marc Ó Sé and the Kerry team. Initial fears that he had picked up a serious knee injury in Sunday’s Allianz NFL game against Mayo in Tralee proved unfounded, with a scan yesterday revealing nothing more than minor damage — although he is expected to be out of action for a month or so.

Manager Jack O’Connor confirmed the news, saying that he had spoken to the Gaeltacht star after his hospital visit.

“It’s a medial ligament strain. The knee is always a worry, but this doesn’t sound too bad. He’s relieved,” he said.
