De La Salle add U-21 title to laurels

THE good times roll on for De La Salle. The Waterford and Munster senior champions collected the county U21 HC title at Fraher Field, Dungarvan, yesterday.

County star Kevin Moran and full forward Dean Twomey starred and a 20th minute James Foran goal had the favourites leading 1-7 to 0-5 at the break. Cappoquin stormed back and Paul Murray’s goal followed by Fionain Murray’s super point soon had the minimum between the sides.

However, eight minutes from time Seamus Richardson fired to the net after keeper Darren Curran denied Twomey with a superb save. That sucked the life out of Cappoquin and points in the closing minutes by Foran (2) and Twomey secured the title.
