Banner legend Daly to be Dublin boss

CLARE’S former All-Ireland winning captain Anthony Daly is to be unveiled as the new Dublin hurling manager tonight.

County Board chiefs in the capital yesterday confirmed that Daly, who skippered to Banner to glory in 1995 and 1997, will be proposed to the full county committee at Parnell Park. He will replace Tommy Naughton.

After a glittering playing career, Daly coached Clare to two All-Ireland semi-finals and this year helped Kilmoyley to the Kerry SHC title. He has also developed a successful career as an analyst with The Sunday Game.
