Lordan leads the way as Scoil Bhailenóra stage great revival
Scoil Bhailenóra overcame a terrible start which saw Blarney lead 1-2 to 0-0 after seven minutes, Kevin Cremin grabbing the goal. But Scoil Bhailenóra recovered to be back in contention by half-time with a Lordan goal trimming the deficit to the minimum.
In the second-half Scoil Bhailenóra dominated proceedings with Patrick Cronin and John Poland in outstanding form. Goals from Lordan and Kenneth Greally pushed them into the lead and despite the best efforts of Blarney’s Aaron Buckley and Mark Coleman, Scoil Bhailenóra ran out convincing winners.

Scoil Iosagáin Farranree 2-5 Clonakilty BNS 0-8
DARRAGH Twohig’s two superb first-half goals was the key factor in swinging the outcome Scoil Iosagáin’s way in a terrific Roinn F3 final.
Twohig unleashed two bullets in the second and 12th minutes to help Scoil Iosagáin to a 2-4 to 0-0 advantage. With the wind at their backs they dominated all over the field with Eoghan O’Leary and Evan Lordan impressing. Clonakilty recovered with Sean McEvoy landing two points that saw them trail 2-4 to 0-3 at the break.
In the second-half Clonakilty mounted an excellent revival. With Ross Mannix and David Lowney in flying form in attack they had the margin down to six points with ten minutes left. Then Lowney kicked three points in succession to get Clonakilty within touching distance. But the Farranree school’s defence lead by Sean Fitzgerald was resolute under pressure and they held on for the title.

Clondrohid NS 3-5 Rusheen NS 3-3
THE wind-affected Roinn F9 final saw Clondrohid dominate the first-half before Rusheen’s second-half fightback nearly secured honours.
Clondrohid began explosively with early goals from Jack O’Donovan and Darren Dineen. They controlled proceedings for the remainder of the half, with Shane Murphy landing some lovely points and Dineen hit a second goal that left it 3-4 to 0-0 at half-time.
Yet in the second-half the script was altered as Rusheen utilised the wind advantage to take over. In attacker Ruairi Cotter they had a lethal finisher, and after Adam O’Leary goaled in the 20th minute, Cotter smacked a fierce drive to the net in the 21st minute. A Dineen point gave Clondrohid some respite but Rusheen kept coming and Cotter bagged a further 1-1. Ultimately time ran out on their recovery and Clondrohid held on.
