You know the drill: Rebels’ civil war resumes

THE GAA bosses are considering drilling holes in the bottom of their major trophies in order to prevent them being filled with booze during winning celebrations.

It is not clear at this stage if the drilling is proposed for Sam Maguire and Liam MacCarthy.

However it is clear enough at this juncture that the Cork hurlers are out to ‘drill’ Gerald McCarthy as their manager for the coming season. The ongoing process is ugly as Hell but dammit, it’s fascinating to watch.
