‘Re-energised’ O’Connor quiet on return

JACK O’CONNOR has admitted his ‘appetite for football’ management is back, but he stopped short of confirming his interest in returning to the Kerry hot-seat.

The Dromid Pearses man who quit after leading the Kingdom to their second All-Ireland under his watch in 2006 is seen as the chief target to replace Pat O’Shea for 2009.

His stock remains as high as ever in the Kingdom having guided Kerins O’Rahilly’s to a county semi-final replay with heavyweights South Kerry this weekend.
