Ryan: It’s no secret what our ambition is this year

ANOTHER year of promise for Dublin footballers, another chance to make it to the All-Ireland final for the first time in 13 years, but still two hurdles to overcome before they can start thinking of ending the famine.

The first one is in Croke Park on Saturday — a week later than planned — when they take on Tyrone.

Meanwhile, the Wexford team they walloped in the second half of the Leinster final are already through to the semi-final and looking forward to the chance to redeem themselves. Much like Dublin, who were outsmarted by Tyrone at the same stage in 2005.
