Questioned about the manner of his side’s win, which was far from convincing, at least for the first 60 minutes, McDonnell batted away the questions like they’d come from an insolent student during his day job as a teacher.

“Yes, I’m sure it was a source of concern for Fermanagh as well,” said McDonnell when asked how he felt about being level at 0-2 apiece after 32 minutes.
