Brian Phelan comes in for Jack Kennedy at left half-back while Stephen Molumphy is preferred to Gary Hurney in attack. A positional switch up front sees Shane Prendergast move to centre forward and Molumphy come at left half forward.
Clare boss Mike McNamara has made two changes from the side that lost the Munster final to Tipperary recently, for Sunday’s All-Ireland quarter-final tie with Cork in Thurles.
Brendan Bugler who missed the game through suspension, is recalled in place of Conor Plunkett at right half back while Barry Nugent takes over for Mark Flaherty. In a positional switch Gerry Quinn moves to centre half back.
Laois manager Liam Kearns has made four changes from the side that edge out Longford last week, for Saturday’s All-Ireland football qualifier against Down in Portlaoise.
Joe Higgins comes in at left corner back for Cathal Ryan; Pádraig Clancy takes over from John McLoughlan at midfield; Billy Sheehan replaces Ross Munnelly in the half forward line and Colm Kelly is preferred to MJ Tierney in the full forward line.
There is one change in personnel on the Down team from that which thrashed Offaly last time out. Kevin McKernan comes in for Benny Coulter in attack.

Westmeath coach Tomás Ó Flatharta has made three changes in his team for the Tyrone game. Martin Flanagan has recovered from injury and returns to partner Donal O’Donoghue at midfield with Paul Bannon stepping down to the sub’s bench.
The other changes sees David Glennon replace David Bannon at right corner forward while Aidan Mangan is named at left corner forward. In a positional switch Dessie Dolan moves out to right half forward with Sean Quinn now among the subs.
Not unexpectedly the Limerick selectors have named the same starting XV for the visit of Kildare for their All-Ireland qualifier. Both Pádraig Browne and Stephen Kelly have recovered from tight hamstrings.
