O’Gorman warns against tinkering with one of GAA’s ‘flagship events’

THE chairman of the Munster Council insists the provincial hurling championship remains one of the “GAA’s flagship events” and must remain unaltered.

With the Hurling Development Committee proposing changes to provincial competitions, Munster boss Jimmy O’Gorman insists that the status quo must remain down south.

He explained: “The Munster championship is one of the GAA’s flagship events. Up to yesterday we had 88,000 attending the Munster championship and we were disappointed.
