Dineen inspires Mallow

MALLOW put in a storming second half to win this third round of the Premier Cork IHC at Páirc Uí Rinn yesterday.

Inniscarra finished the first half strongly for a half time lead of 1-6 to 0-4.

Mallow threw the issue open when Cian O’Riordan billowed the net for a goal after 32 minutes and they were on level terms three minutes later with points by Joe Hayes and Pa Dineen.

Three more points put daylight between the sides. Pa Dineen had the final say when his long range pointed free helped his side a deserved win and a quarter fnial against Fr O’Neill’s or Courcey Rovers.
