Former HSE media chief Clancy named as GAA’s new director of communications

LISA CLANCY is the GAA’s new Director of Communications, replacing veteran press and PR handler Danny Lynch.

The ex-Health Service Executive (HSE) communications chief is a surprise choice to many, but will be key to the GAA’s plans to reach out to all units of the association.

Said president Nickey Brennan last night: “The GAA is a modern dynamic organisation facing new and different challenges and Lisa’s appointment and experience will help us in the next stage of our development.”
