Déise dismiss Kelly reports

WATERFORD hurling insiders last night rubbished suggestions that star forward Eoin Kelly had been dropped from the hurling panel ahead of Sunday’s defeat to Clare.

Déise dismiss Kelly reports

There was speculation on Sunday that Kelly had been dropped by manager Justin McCarthy for disciplinary reasons, but sources close to the team rejected that yesterday, stating that Kelly’s hand injury had precluded him from playing, adding that other injured players, such as Ken McGrath and Eoin Murphy had not been togged out on Sunday either.

Waterford hope to have McGrath, Murphy and Kelly back for their qualifier game against the losers of Antrim v Galway on July 5th.
