SARS’ purple patch in the opening quarter was the basis for their win, but Ballinhassig would have won Saturday’s SHC game in Páirc U Chaoimh on Saturday evening, if goalkeeper Martin Coleman’s injury time effort hadn’t been deflected over the bar.
Fintan O’Leary’s goals in the 39th and 51st minutes revitalised Ballinhassig, having been 2-7 to 0-3 down at the break.
