Brendan’s and Tralee starlets dominate Kerry side

THIS year’s Corn Ui Mhuirí finalists St Brendan’s and Tralee CBS supply six players to the Kerry minor team for tonight’s first-round championship game against Clare in Ennis.

The Sem’s Barry Kelly is in goal with school mates Fionn Fitzgerald and Jonathan Lyne at left full and right half back respectively. Two other Sem players, Jamie O’Sullivan and Cian Tobin, are included among the subs.

Tralee CBS have Barry Shanahan at full back while Wayne Guthrie partners his school colleague Shane Carroll at midfield. Barry John Keane is among the subs which is surprising given how influential he was in this year’s colleges campaign.
