Coldrick to referee football final

MEATH’s David Coldrick will referee the All-Ireland football final between Cork and Kerry on Sunday week.

The highly regarded Blackhall Gaels whistler has been selected ahead of Pat McEnaney and other notable candidates for the plum GAA post of the season.

Coldrick handled Kerry’s quarter final victory over Monaghan.

His team of officials on September 16 will be Marty Duffy (Sligo) as stand-by referee (and linesman), Maurice Deegan of Laois as linesman and the sideline official will by Donegal’s Robert O’Donnell.

The minor final between Derry and Galway will be refereed by Longford’s Derek Fahy.
