TYPICAL. Just like buses, you wait six years for a Leinster team to reach an All-Ireland football final and now here we are, with two of them within 70 minutes of what would be a decider of epic proportions.

Cork and Kerry will have a lot to say about that, of course. There is no doubt but that an all-Munster final would be an equally thunderous affair but there is no hiding Leinster’s return to form.

Though the two provinces have carved up the semi slots between them, that alone is nothing new for the Munster brigade. Semi-finals have been a mere staging post for Kerry this past three years while Cork find themselves in their third in a row.
