CORK footballers have been struck with a massive blow with the news that leading scorer, James Masters will miss Sunday week’s All-Ireland football semi-final against Meath with a broken jaw.

While the injury occurred early in the second half, he played on until the very end of the game before being substituted.

It was only afterwards that the seriousness of the injury became apparent when he visited hospital to have an x-ray.
